Project Tasks & Overview

Students will be challenged in the second assignment to investigate their conceptual and operational procedures in order to create a significant architectural gesture (s). From the first assignment, students must pick one or more architectural principles. Students will be required to define the architectural principle(s) they have chosen. The students' task is to investigate the possible meanings and implications of this architectural principle(s) in the sense that they will influence two areas: generating forms and crafting spaces.

Reflection

From this project, I was able to bring forward what I have learned from Project 1 in this project. Our group used diagramming and a few of the similar precedent studies to strengthen our design language and principles.

The most challenging part of this project for me is each group member has different ideas and their own design style. On the other hand, I am able to learn other people ways of working and broaden my knowledge.

In a nutshell, I now understand the importance of the implication of design principles in my projects. Design principles direct me to crafting workable forms and space, generating the design language and sensory of the structure.
