Architecture and Environment
(ARC 60504)
The components of environmental conditions and issues are introduced in this module. It focuses on the positive and negative effects of human intervention on the environment, as well as the relationship between buildings and the natural system. Lectures and discussions will introduce students to basic environmental awareness. Furthermore, the module introduces students to the fundamental elements of climate and their effects on architecture, with the goal of assisting students in developing environmentally conscious and comfortable building designs. This module will include formative and summative assessments in the form of an assignment, a test, and a case study.
