Project Tasks & Overview
Students must 'learn from precedents' in the first assignment by analysing design objectives and principles, including but not limited to site and contextual approaches, as well as exploration of solids, planes, lines, and frames in architectural design. The elements of architecture and architectonics that generate architectural form and space through drawing and making are highlighted. Our goal is to learn more about how spaces are created through the use of architectural and constructional elements, which we call architectonics.

In this project, I have realized the importance of case study and how precedent study could aid my studio design. I have also learned the how to apply principles wisely in my design from the case study. At the same time grasp the gist of digramming to express my ideas and concept.
The biggest challenge that I faced in this project is understanding the building. The reason behind this is because it took a lot of time to understand this new project with limited resources online. However, we still managed to compile all our findings to understand the building better.
I also discovered the design philosophy Sahi W&D House which helps me to develop my design thinking skills in my future projects.
To conclude, I have learned how to draw proper diagram to showcase my design principles and concept upon completing Project 1.
