Project Tasks & Overview

The individual project is assigned for students to design an isolation structure that reflects their personal experience during the pandemic. Students are required to study various materials for example timber, rope, steel, and so on, and further investigate how to use them to the fullest in the design.

The isolation structure should not exceed 5m³ and has to be designated according to the anthropometrics and ergonomics of the student himself.

Design Intention

"To create an isolation structure that allows me to value own company and to find security within myself."

Reflection

From this project, I was able to identify different types of structures and learn the application of tectonics and anthropometrics into space-making.

The most challenging part of this project for me is time management, I fail to plan my time evenly to perform my very best for this project. However, it is a hard lesson for me to improve on my time management and stop procrastinating for my future projects.

In a nutshell, I am highly aware that my drawing and modelmaking skills require a lot of improvement in order to produce a quality outcome.
