Project 1

Project 1 is a collaborative effort with an individual component. The task is to romanticise a paddy field and translate it into an intriguing narrative that will then be transformed into a standalone Poetic Journey Structure in groups of four (4) to five (5) students. Individually, students must locate and analyse two (2) precedent studies on poetic spatial architecture and experiences. This precedent study task is critical because it will guide the entire Poetic Journey Structure design process. Students will be given an imaginary square site (Site A) or a rectangular site to design the Poetic Journey Structure (Site B). The structure must be semi-open, with a concentric or linear organisation, and it must apply two (2) to three (3) distinctive Modifying Elements of Architecture.
