Each student must choose an architect from the list provided. Based on the case study, the student must identify five (5) architectural and two (2) structural building materials from the chosen architect. Students should also research the ideas and concepts behind the material and structure selection. Students must also describe the installation of one (1) of the materials used on the chosen structure. The selection of a building can be from any era or age. The findings must be nicely written in two (2) A3 papers, and they must include the following information:

1. A brief background of the architect.
2. Historical background of the chosen building.
3. Clear images and information of the five (5) architectural building materials and two (2)
structural building materials respectively.
4. Sketches of one (1) material’s installation on the selected building.
5. Relevant images of the chosen building (floor layout, elevations, three-dimensional perspective
etc.).
6. Overall conclusion on the choice and application of materials on the chosen building.
